Elderly people are struggling with living costs warns charity

Elderly people and pensioners are finding it hard to cope with rising living costs- with 47% saying they are “just getting by” new research finds. Icelandic voters reject bankrupt banks repayment deal

Icelanders have rejected the latest plan to repay the UK and Netherlands some 4bn euros lost when the country’s banking system collapsed in 2008. UK interest rates held at record low of 0.5%

Money worries during credit crunch linked to rise in depression

The UK’s economic problems may be fuelling a rise in health depression in England, it has been suggested. University degree can add £12,000 to salary official figures show

People with university degrees earned an average of £12,000 a year more than non-graduates over the past decade new official statistics show.
